General
Purpose and scope
The Interlayer foam nozzle (PN) is intended for use as part of subsurface suppression installations for oil and oil products storage tanks. Foam applicators are installed on the internal foam pipings inside the tank in a fuel bed. Depending on the design, the nozzle is available in two models:
- Interlayer foam nozzle PN-N – one direction of release;
- Interlayer foam nozzle PN-T – two directions of release (Т-shaped).
The Interlayer foam nozzle PN provides:
- protection against ingress of bottom sediments and other inclusions into internal foam pipings (including during their erosion);
- minimization of contact of petroleum products with the inner walls of the foam pipings by eliminating their reversibility with closed valves at the foam applicators exit;
- standard rate of outflow of low-expansion foam into the fuel bed.

Distinctive advantages

- the Interlayer foam nozzle in standard version is manufactured with a spring valve for the release of foam, on request, the Interlayer foam nozzle can be manufactured in a sealed version with a burstable membrane.

Materials of manufacture
In terms of resistance to climatic effects, the Interlayer foam applicator is manufactured for U, HL, UHL, T, OM conditions according to GOST 15150-69. Optionally, all design versitons can be made of stainless steel.
- Climatic model U: housing - steel 20 with anticorrosive coating, gate - stainless steel.
- Climatic model HL, UHL housing - steel 09G2S with a corrosion-resistant coating, gate - stainless steel.
- Climatic model T, OM: housing, gate - stainless steel.
- Climatic model U, HL, UHL for seawater operation: housing, gate - stainless steel (indicated additionally).
